Since 1986, Dynam Vocational Skills Training Centre (DVSTC) has been focussed on empowering adolescents and young adults with intellectual disabilities to transition successfully from the world of learning to the world of work.
DVSTC (now known as Dynam Andal Vocational Training Centre) trains young adults to lead a productive and meaningful life. The core objective of our training program is overall personality development which also includes inculcating excellent work ethic and value systems.
DVSTC was founded by Smt. Thangam Rajagopalan, an outstanding special educator and Sri. Hari Parameswaran (Founder – Dynam Group). Now, powered by Andal Cares, DVSTC is geared to extend it’s highly successful model to support many more individuals.
THE VISION: Empower the differently abled to become an asset to the family and society
DVSTC have always had a team of extremely well trained, focussed and committed faculty. With a curated and expanding set of activities the trainees are taught to ensure that they succeed in their world of work once their intense training is completed.
As a testament of our work and experiences across many decades, most of DVSTCs alumni are either successfully employed in a broad range of industries or self-employed. Every alumni’s success story propels into continuous development and improvement.

That ‘something’ became Dynam. Alongside his brother Gopi, Hari handcrafted India’s first electrical science kit — 60 experiments from a simple bulb to a working motor, designed to teach through doing. The first run received only a 0.1% response rate, but instead of quitting, Hari and Gopi packed their kits on a scooter and visited schools in person — proving quality face to face.

Hari is the founder of several impactful initiatives, including the Young Inventor Award, Dynam Creativity Programmes, and the Dynam Vocational Skill Training Centre(DVSTC) for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Bangalore. He and his team regularly conduct Discovery Science Programs in schools and offers teacher training workshops focused on creative education. A sought-after creativity consultant, Hari has conducted workshops and innovation sessions for leading institutions and industries across India and internationally.
Hari has also worked extensively with the Technical Training Centre for the Deaf, training India’s first batch of hearing-impaired students in electronics. His life’s mission continues to be empowering education through creativity, hands-on learning, and inclusive innovation.
Hari has also proudly represented India at international educational fairs including DIDACTA in Germany, the Gulf Education and Training Fair in Dubai….
Govind Bommi’s mother, Andal, had always been a strong influence in his life since he was a child.
Govind’s family was not well-to-do, living in a modest house in Bangalore, India. His parents had six children and lived off a single income. Yet, Govind’s mother was generous, even to strangers, he recalled. Despite having little, she would set aside a portion of cooked food – not leftovers – for beggars who would come around in the evening. He said, “She believed that if you had enough, you should share it with others because we are only temporary keepers of what we own.”
Govind a very successful industrialist, is today, a totally focussed philanthropist with many grassroot projects across the world running under the auspices of Andal Cares.

SMT. THANGAM RAJAGOPALAN ON HER JOURNEY | REFLECTION AND INTROSPECTION!
Indeed 40 years is a long period by any stretch of imagination, but… to me it seems like we started DVSTC just ‘the other day’. Every moment of these 40 years is etched fresh in my memory as though it just happened. I would like to go further down the memory lane….
